Alta Mae Smith, age 73, of Reynolds Station passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2024.

Our beautiful mom leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband and best friend Jim, of 31 years; her two daughters Stacey Harvey and Stephanie Brooks, both she loved wholeheartedly; Her loving sister, Alice Hines which they were “Two peas in a pod”.

She was the loving and caring mamaw to Chris Brooks, Courtney Brooks Piercy, Karey Martin, and Kasey Roth; Her next blessings were her great grandchildren Kamden and Kaden Piercy, Jack and Seth Roth and also little Iliana Martin.

Mom loved being on the farm “Turkey Knob” with Jim, from helping with the cows to putting out their garden and making sure she fed everyone that came through their door.

Anyone that knew our mom, knew she was a selfless, spunky, beautiful person that made the best baked macaroni and cheese. She will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until service time at the funeral home.
