Charlotte Owens, 75, of Fordsville, passed away July 15, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
She was born May 18,1950 to the late Ted and Ida Doolin. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was the bookkeeper in the tax division for the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department for many years.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Scotty Doolin, Houston Doolin, Randall Doolin; sister Garnett Beatty and siblings-in-law Fred Crawford, Jean Doolin, Alfred Hendrix, and Garold Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Curtis Owens, brothers Elvis Doolin of Magan, Billy Joe (Diane) Doolin of Reynolds Station, Andy Doolin of Magan, sisters Lula Belle Crawford of Atlanta GA, Linda Hendrix of Norris City IL, Crecia Brown of Reynolds Station, Tammy Causey of Magan, brother-in-law James Keith Beatty of Magan; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday July 18th at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2pm to 7pm and from 9am until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
