Deloris Holder Cummings, 88, of Louisville, passed away July 2, 2026 at Norton Audubon Hospital. 

She was born February 10, 1938 to the late Claudis Willard and Florabelle Stone Holder. She was a member of Herald Johnson Memorial General Baptist Church in Louisville. She was a data entry specialist before retirement. Deloris loved to play the piano and accordion. She enjoyed creating scenes with oil paints. Her favorite travel destination was Yellowstone National Park. She was a loving and devoted mother who fiercely protected her children, grandchildren and border collies.

She is survived by her children Deloris Jean “Jeannie” Cummings (Sharon Williams) of Louisville, David Cummings of Georgetown, and Donald Cummings of Louisville; grandchildren Sarah and Gracey Cummings; and her beloved border collies Bella and Rosie.

Funeral service will be held at 12pm CST Wednesday July 8, 2026 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm CST Tuesday and 10am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
