Donald R. Shreve Sr.

Donald R. Shreve Sr., 68 of Hartford, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at Heartford House in Owensboro.

Donald was born in Chicago Heights to the late Raymond and Shirley Shreve. He was a first mate on a river towboat for 28 years.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Shreve, brother Johnny Shreve, and nephew Michael Shreve.

He is survived by his sons Donald (Krystle) Shreve Jr. and Harlan Shreve; grandchildren Madilyn, Mackenzie, Katarina, Dominick, Aerith, Atreus, and Ciel; brothers Jimmie, Gerald, and Dennis Shreve; sisters Linda Willoughby and Michelle Shreve.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, December 30 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with Josh Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in Midkiff Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 7pm and Monday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
