Everette Dwayne Decker Obituary

Everette “Dwayne” Decker, 72, of Hartford passed away March 4, 2025 at his residence. 

He was born May 30, 1952 in Grayson County, Ky to the late Crit and Violet Decker.  He worked at Dunaway Timber for many years and a member of Zion Baptist church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Bobby Decker, Larry Decker, Linda Miller, Judy Huff, Joanie Wilson, Vicki Decker, Donald Ray, Donna Gail, and Peggy Sue.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Decker; son Anthony Decker (Tina Gonzalez) of Owensboro; siblings Brenda Pirtle; Gary (Carolyn) Decker; brother-in-law Wayne Miller; sister-in-law Debbie Decker; 3 nephews and 7 nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Olaton Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4pm to 8pm and Sunday 10am until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio County Hospice.
