John Wayne Adams, 80, of Owensboro, formerly of Fordsville died September 30, 2025 at Heartford House in Owensboro.

He was born February 8, 1945 in Murray, Ky to the late John and Mary Cunningham Adams. 

John attended Owensboro Christian Church. He was devoted to his family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Dan and Phillip Adams; and his beloved granddaughter Kristin Charron.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Alice Adams of Owensboro; son John Michael Adams (Courtney) of Owensboro; daughter Susan Adams Charron (Jimmy) of Stamping Ground, Ky; grandchildren Elizabeth Charron, Olivia Adams, Leah Charron, John Maddox Adams, Trevor and Mackenzie Biddle; great-granddaughters Madison Privett, Aliza and Kaia Smith; sister Ann Jackson of Murray, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, October 2st at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartford House in Owensboro.
