Joseph Bickett Obituary

Joseph “Sonny” Bickett, 82, of Reynolds Station, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Ohio County Healthcare.  He was a Navy veteran, was a retired foreman from the Paper Mill and he trained thoroughbreds.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.   He was an avid golfer and loved UK basketball.  Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mable Bickett; and sisters, Helen Brown and Betty Edwards.

  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathy Bickett of Reynolds Station; children, Stacy (Randy) Bickett of New York, Stephanie Young of Texas, Travis (Craig) Snyder of Atlanta, Georgia, Joey (Jenny) Snyder of Owensboro, Dannielle (Daren) Sanders of Reynolds Station and Daniel Bickett of Louisville; grandchildren, Sterling Simpson, Hayden, Sam and Garrett Sanders and Emma and Liam Bickett; and sisters, Mary (Bob) Rummage of Owensboro and Ruby (Doug) Taylor of Lewisport.

     Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Newton Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
