Leslie Clay Walling, 80, of Reynolds Station, KY, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at Heartford House in Owensboro.

He was born on March 2, 1946 in Irvine, KY to the late Chester and Dorothy Walling.

He was a graduate of Hancock County High School, Owensboro Business School, and Owensboro Vocational School’s Electrician Program. He served his country as a United States Marine from 1964 to 1966. He retired from NSA and Aleris Aluminum. Leslie was a member of Newton Springs Baptist Church. He served on the Hancock County School Board for 4 years.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Jeanie Walling and brother Walter Walling Sr.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Doris “Smith” Walling; daughters Terri (Tim) Emminger, Sherri (Jeff) Walling, Patty (Dennis) Beatty, and Traci Walling; sister Mary Huff; brother Chester “Checkie” Walling Jr.;  5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Newton Springs Baptist Church in Fordsville with Bro. Eddie Harpole officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm at Geary Funeral Home and Thursday from 10am until service time at the church. A private burial will follow in Easton Community Cemetery.
