Marilyn Sue Roach Woods, 79, passed away in Newburgh, Indiana on February 20, 2025. 

She was born in Ohio County, Ky on May 1, 1945 to the late Hayden and Bessie Roach.  She was a housewife and a member of Church of God Prophecy Church in Fordsville, Ky. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Woods; siblings James Roach, Carol Wilkerson, Augustine Roach, Ernie Roach, and Mamie Darnett. 

She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Rance) Evans of Newburgh, In; son George (Serena) Woods of Georgetown, Ky;  grandchildren Jamie Pate and Jessica Ellison; 7 step-grandchildren; great-grandsons Jaxon and Jayden; 9 step-great-grandchildren; and brother David Roach of Fordsville, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am until service time at the funeral home.
