“Mealy" Erman Brown, 85, of Fordsville, died Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Ohio County Hospital.  He was born in Fordsville and was a wrecker service and auto salvage business owner.  Mealy loved to make people smile.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Brown and Elvera Howard; a son, Bryan Brown; and three brothers, Jim Brown; Thurman “PeeWee” Brown and Malvin “Bubo” Brown. 

     Survivors include his sons, Stefan (Patricia) Brown of Falls of Rough and Martin (Ann) Brown of Fordsville; his daughter, Karen Huff of Fordsville; grandchildren, Bryan, Josh, Brittany and Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Ivan, Julia, Rhiannon, Barrett, Wyatt and Molly.

     Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Fordsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
